Scholastic Press, 1999 Book. Hardcover USA first edition, 2nd Printing.

The second Harry Potter novel. All 2nd Printing points are present: number line "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 9/9 0/0 1 2 3 4, Printed in the U.S.A. 37, First American Edition, June 1999" stated on copyright page and Code 51795 above smaller barcode line on rear jacket panel. The "Year 2" imprint IS NOT present on the spine or jacket. First printing typo with "ancestor" instead of "decedent" on page 332. The "Also By.." list on the ffep also includes the typo "Sorceror's" instead of "Sorcerer's" in "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" title, corrected in later editions.. Blue boards with embossed diamond quilt pattern, green cloth with silver letting on spine and red end papers. Jacket price of $17.95 is intact, the bottom back of the dust jacket is bent some, as is the inside sleeve (see all photos below).

The book pages are clean and bright, it does not look to have been read, it may have been stored wrong as there is a slight lean when you stand the book up. The first couple of pages have what appears to be an indentation with the pages feeling slightly wavy due to the binding lean.
